Progressive Jackpot Blackjack

Not only does the Progressive Jackpot Blackjack card game from William Hill Casino offer online gamers the chance to hit the fabled 21 from the comfort of their homes, but it also boasts a variety of special features designed to enhance your online gaming experience.

How to Play

The aim of Blackjack is to acquire cards that, when added together, add up to a number closer to 21 than those of the dealer (the computer, or house), without passing 21 (“going bust”). If you go bust, you lose no matter whether the house goes bust or not.

Kings, Queens and Jacks are all worth 10, while Aces are worth either 1 or 11, with the numbered cards being worth their face value.

If your hand is equal to the dealer’s, your money is returned.

“Blackjack” is the strongest hand possible and is achieved by scoring a two-card 21. This is also known as a “natural” and is an automatic winner.

Multi-hand Blackjack is identical to single player Blackjack, except that you can bet on up to five hands and play them all independently, one after another.

Getting started

Once you have bet, you will be dealt two cards face up. The dealer is dealt one card face up and one face down. You will then need to decide your next course of action:

Hit: requests another card

Stand: keeps your hand intact

Double: you receive one more card, your turn ends and your bet doubles

Insurance: If the dealer’s “up” card is an Ace, you can place a side bet worth half the original bet as insurance (if you think the dealer’s other card is worth 10).

Progressive Jackpots

A £1 bet on a winning hand qualifies for a Bonus Bet payout, if you are dealt two or more consecutive Aces as your first cards. You can also qualify for a Bonus Payout based on the suit and number of Aces in your hand.

The size of the progressive jackpot grows with every bet and is shown in the jackpot meter. Winning Bonus Bets are paid as soon as the first non-Ace is dealt.
